Macaroni Cheese

This is here because Hannah has requested it. For a starter cook:

  1. 2/3 oz pasta of choice per person - cooked and drained
  2. At least 1/4 pint white sauce with lots of grated cheese added and a small teaspoon of mustard, plus S&P
  3. Mix and make sure it is fairly runny - add a little milk if it seems dry.
  4. Put in an oven proof dish, put sliced tomatoes on and more cheese on top. Heat under the grill until really hot and brown.

Eat with lots of Branston (aka B.P). Add bacon you have already fried and chopped at stage 2, if you like that (I dont).

To make White Sauce: A tablespoon of butter melted; an equal amount of flour stirred in over a low heat; then 1/4 pint milk added at once and the whole thing stirred or whisked as you turn the heat up;keep stirring till it thickens smoothly and let it cook a few minutes more on a very low heat before seasoning with S&P (and cheese) and using. If it is too thick, add more milk.
